Pino Caballero Gil

Full Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, University of La Laguna, Spain

Pino Caballero Gil is a Full Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of La Laguna (ULL), where she leads the CryptULL research group and holds the Institutional Chair in Cybersecurity. With an extensive career in cybersecurity research, she has directed and participated in numerous prestigious national and European projects, including EU-CHECK, COST Action 6G-PHYSEC, ATQUE, IACTA, and SCITALA.

Her research focuses on cutting-edge fields such as quantum computing applications in security, post-quantum cryptography, machine learning for threat detection, and secure protocols for IoT, autonomous vehicles, and smart environments. She has published over 80 papers in high-impact JCR journals, co-authored books, and supervised multiple doctoral theses. Additionally, she serves as co-chair of international research initiatives like the STARS EU CYBER-QUANTUM group, driving technology transfer, research excellence, and education in digital security.
